“Rome Baroque Private Tour: Squares and Fountains” itinerary

The tour takes you on a stroll to explore Rome's most beautiful squares and fountains.
Let's start with the squares: we will tour Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza of Fontana di Trevi, and Piazza della Rotonda, where the Pantheon stands. in each of these squares it is possible to admire at least one splendid Baroque fountain.
Each fountain has its own history, framing the historical events of the popes, sculptures, and personages who made Rome's history unique.
First of all Piazza di Spagna, also known as the Spanish Steps.
Your licensed guide will tell you about the fascinating story involving the Barcaccia Fountain, made by Pietro and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Here you can appreciate one of Rome's best-known symbols: the Spanish Steps.
The guided tour continues to Trevi Fountain, made the world's most famous fountain by Fellini's film, “La Dolce Vita.”
Another fountain that you cannot miss is located in Piazza Navona It is the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini. Bernini's fountain is the finest example of roman Baroque style.
The guided tour ends with the Pantheon, which may well be Rome's most unique monument. The Pantheon was built as a Roman temple dedicated to pagan gods. Its dome is one the largest in the world. The unusual oculus placed on the top of the dome lights the inside, bringing a truly surreal atmosphere to the interior.
